Scotch Plains Historical Society Presents: Ups, Downs, and Arounds - November 25
Dan Koslowski, a lifelong roller coaster enthusiast and retired Linden music teacher, will present a lively program on the history of America’s roller coasters and carousels, including special research on the former Bowcraft Amusement Park in Scotch Plains.
The program is now set for Tuesday, November 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the historic Shady Rest Country Club.
Koslowski, who has ridden more than 100 roller coasters and builds award-winning working models, will share photos, narration and music to showcase the evolution of these iconic rides. He aims to educate the public, preserve American folklore and inspire pride in the community’s shared past.
The free event, hosted by the Historical Society of Scotch Plains and Fanwood, is open to all and will include refreshments—and a special TIP jar for the presenter.
