NOTICE OF UPCOMING TOWNSHIP-WIDE STORM SEWER DATA COLLECTION AND INSPECTION ACTIVITIES
The Township of Scotch Plains has contracted with Neglia Group to collect data at each storm sewer inlet, manhole, and outfall structure located throughout the Township. Please note this is not a construction notice, and only data collection will be taking place. This work is being carried out accordance with the township’s NJDEP MS4 permit requirements to develop, update and maintain MS4 Infrastructure Map, but more importantly will provide the township with a comprehensive map of the townships stormwater drainage system. This mapping will provide the data needed to further assess and evaluate the current stormwater system to plan for future capital improvement projects.
A two or three-person Neglia Group field crew will be driving each street in a marked Neglia Group vehicle. Field crew members will be wearing yellow vests and carrying equipment and cones. Each member will have a business card with contact information should a member of the public request additional information. You can also contact Neglia Group at (201) 939-8805.
Work will begin on or about September 8, 2025 and continue through January 31, 2026, weather permitting. Work hours are typically from 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
